There is a difference between a slip and a relapse? Is it multiple or continuous?
A slip is considered to be a less serious occurrence than a relapse. Both events are negative, but they differ in the degree of impact they will have on the life of the individual. A relapse involves abandoning sobriety and returning to a pre-treatment lifestyle of drinking and drugging. A slip, on the other hand, means the substance abuser resumes drinking or drugging for a short period of time, typically a few hours or a day, and then returns to treatment and/or resumes a sober lifestyle.

16-year old teens are FDA approved to receive Medically Assisted Treatment for opioid abuse?
There are evidence-supported medications to assist in the withdrawal of Cannabis use that has been effective for adolescents and young adults (up to age 25). Naltrexone is the most popular with youth as it has limited side effects; Gabapentin is beneficial; Prozac if depression symptoms are evident; Fluoxetine and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy have proven to be effective.

Count to 30 in 30 seconds…I know what you’re thinking: that’s so easy, been doing it since I was 5! Since that is most likely true, you should accomplish with no delays or thought processing needed if you’re clear headed and sober. If you’re under the influence, it will prove to be quite a difficult task…especially under the influence of Cannabis.
